If it all ends, let us end together (Poem)

We hear the sirens, the waves are rising,
Refugees arriving, emigrants devising.
Threats of death as cartels take flight,
Missiles soaring, machines think by night.

Agents emerging, species descending,
Faithful hearts in battles unending.
Students of doom, the cosmos they chart,
The end of it all, where creation may start.

All that's good must meet its demise,
Even our kind will vanish with time.
Will it end swiftly, or will faith prevail?
Not faith, but the will—unyielding, frail.

The will to press on, to build, to create,
Keeps us afloat in the shadow of fate.
Yet still, we wonder what will remain,
As we gamble with hope through loss and gain.

Human ambition, bold yet small,
Crumbles before the future’s call.
A yearning to love, to achieve, to aspire,
Ignites within us that eternal fire.

If all must perish, one truth should burn:
Let us embrace what we’ve come to learn.
Love, the bridge, the ultimate thread,
Binding the living, mourning the dead.

And if it all ends, let one thing be clear:
If all must end, let us hold what's dear.
If all must end, let one truth tether:
If all must end, we'll end together.
